Big Bend by season

Winter Prime

Peak season, with mild desert days and cold nights in the Chisos Mountains. Holiday weeks are busy.

Spring Good

March brings spring breakers and crowds. Bluebonnets and cactus bloom from February to April.

Summer Poor

The desert floor regularly tops 100°F. Only the Chisos Mountains are comfortable.

Fall Good

Heat breaks in October, and the fall season through December is excellent.
