Kings Canyon by season

Winter Fair

Grant Grove stays open and snowy, with sledding and snowshoeing. The road into the canyon to Cedar Grove is closed.

Spring Fair

The Kings Canyon Scenic Byway usually opens to Cedar Grove in late spring, and the waterfalls run at full force.

Summer Prime

Prime season for the canyon floor, the river and high-country trails like Mist Falls and Rae Lakes.
