2 Days in Zion National Park: The Perfect Itinerary
Two days is enough to see the best of Zion National Park without rushing. Here is the day-by-day plan, built around the park's highlights.
Best time to go: Apr, Oct–Nov. Closest major airport: Las Vegas (LAS), about 2.5 hours.
Day 1: The icons
- Morning: Hike the Narrows up the Virgin River. Start early to beat the crowds.
- Afternoon: Climb Angels Landing (permit required).
- Evening: Walk the Riverside Walk and Emerald Pools.
Day 2: Go deeper
- Morning: Drive the Zion–Mount Carmel Highway.
- Afternoon: Watch sunset from the Canyon Overlook Trail.
Take the first shuttle of the morning for Angels Landing or the Narrows, and stay in Springdale so you can walk to the entrance.
