Denali by season

Winter Fair

Dark, very cold and quiet, with northern lights and sled-dog kennel visits near the entrance.

Spring Fair

Bus service begins in late May. Snow is melting and wildlife is active.

Summer Prime

The main season, with near-endless daylight and the most bus trips. The mountain is out only about a third of the time.

Fall Fair

The tundra turns red and gold in late August and early September. Buses stop in mid-September.

Local tip

Private cars can only drive the first 15 miles of the park road. The buses are the way in.
